In collaboration with the Centre for Occupational and Environmental Health, the Thomas Ashton Institute is delighted to announce that this year’s Annual Lane Lecture will take place on:

Kanaris Lecture Theatre, Manchester Museum
Main Lecture & Q&A 4:30pm (in‑person registration opens at 4:00pm). Reception from 6-8pm

Our guest speaker for 2026 is Professor Gillian Leng CBE, who will deliver a lecture titled:
“The Evolution of Evidence and the Changing Nature of Employment:
What this means for the work of the Industrial Injuries Advisory Council”
The event will be followed by a reception, and both in‑person and online tickets will be available.
