Crane Safety 2025
One Birdcage Walk, London
Overview
The Institution of Mechanical Engineers warmly invites Hazards Forum members and their colleagues to their London headquarters for next iteration of the popular Crane Safety technical event.
Building on a strong legacy of events since 2016, this year’s seminar will continue to provide a key forum for all those involved in lifting operations to meet, share expertise, and take away best practice and lessons learned to reduce safety and ensure compliance and safety for lifting projects.
Highlights in 2025 include:
- Health and Safety Executive will outline the upcoming review of the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) and what it could mean for lifting practices, compliance, and safety standards
- Network Rail will present their approach to managing hazards in lifting operations near railways, highlighting the updated CIV0063 guidance and collaborative work with the Construction Plant-hire Association (CPA) to enhance safety and compliance
- AWE and Apache Corporation will share best practice for lifting projects, underscored by examples in the nuclear and oil & gas sectors
- Costain will provide recent guidance and practical insights for reducing risks in lifting operations
