Hazards 36

Manchester, UK

Overview

Hazards is one of the world’s leading process safety conferences, with a history dating back to 1960. The conference brings together industry practitioners to share good practice, emerging thinking and lessons learned in process safety, while providing a forum for informed technical discussion and professional networking.

Hazards offers process safety and loss prevention professionals a valuable opportunity to engage with peers, strengthen professional networks and renew their focus on robust, effective process safety practice.

Themes

As in previous years, Hazards 36 will bring together practical insight and hard-won experience from across the full spectrum of process safety, supporting chemical engineers in strengthening their approach to managing major hazards. The programme will focus on:

  • how good practice is identified, embedded and sustained;
  • the critical role of executive leadership;
  • and the evolving hazard implications of new technologies and applications.

It will also highlight opportunities to share learning across industries and sectors, recognising that many of today’s challenges are best addressed collectively.

Drawing on real-world examples and lessons learned, the conference will explore how the profession is responding to wider industry drivers such as climate change, decarbonisation and the energy transition, alongside increasing digitalisation. These themes have consistently resonated with previous Hazards audiences, and Hazards 36 will build on this momentum to deepen discussion and encourage active contribution. The call for content is open now.
