Innovative Materials Offshore
IMechE in-person event, Aberdeen, UK
Overview
Taking place on 28th September 2022 in Aberdeen, join the Innovative Materials Offshore seminar to explore the potential for novel and non-metallic materials to be deployed in offshore environments.
Presentations will investigate key questions around how innovations such as composite components and additive manufacturing are changing how operators work:
- What cost, time, and maintenance benefits are operators seeing from using non-metallic materials?
- How can new materials be qualified, inspected, and maintained?
- How are safety and sustainability challenges being addressed?
- How can offshore materials applications support the transition to net-zero through use in parallel environments such as renewables and CCS?
This event will provide a platform for delegates to gain a practical understanding of the role of innovative materials, learn how to overcome the barriers to their adoption, and take away key lessons from cutting-edge real world case studies.
