Overview
The IMechE warmly invites Hazards Forum members to this upcoming nuclear engineering conference, tackling the challenges of maintaining safety and asset integrity beyond intended lifecycle and the process of decommissioning including planning, current state evaluation, services procurement, and funding.
Building on previous conferences, a large focus will be placed on the decommissioning process and concerns of planning, the impact of challenging environments, legacy waste and sustainably sourcing and disposing of materials. It will also incorporate asset management case studies from other high hazard industries so that cross sector learning may be effectively facilitated, and nuclear industry innovation encouraged.
