Overview
Structural integrity codes provide requirements and guidance on how engineering organisations design, manufacture, use and dispose of different systems. Recent developments across engineering industries in technologies incorporate progressively novel and complex structures into their designs.
Structural integrity codes must be developed and updated to ensure these novel and complex structures are safe, secure and minimise environmental impact. These codes are often developed by or with regulators, industry and government organisations but are used daily by the mechanical engineer. This seminar will provide case study examples from across different sectors and organisations that are applying legacy and new codes to novel and complex structures.
